What Can I See Under The Sea – A plan

November 11th, 2009

As a story idea for a board book this one has actually been kicking around for awhile but I sort of forgot about it due to an incident involving aunts’in’law muddy welly’s and paintings drying on the floor – followed by a ‘Jelly Fish do not have eyes, so why have you painted eyes on this Jellyfish?’

This probably discredits it from the list and I should take it out but I think I’m going to keep it as I feel it is about the only way I will now ever complete it!

The idea is that this is very much a baby board book with nice under water pictures with friendly creatures that the child has to find. It runs through all the ‘main’ colours and ends with a rainbow of some sort – probably a coral knowing me 🙂

I think it will be 12-14 pages long.

Hopefully some sketches and stuff of it will be up soon 🙂

The Little Book of Festive Poetry – Plan

November 10th, 2009

The Little Book of Festive Poetry is going to be a book to make poets toes curl – it will be full of my family specific references and lots and lots of tacky rhyming because that’s the sort of thing my little girl likes.

It will be similar to The Little Book of Spoogy Poetry I made her for Halloween infact but I plan to send this one as a Christmas presant to people.

It will have 10 poems in it and lots and lots of illustration 🙂 It will be the height of tack and I plan to have it finished for this coming Christmas so wish me luck!

Priorities

November 9th, 2009

I have decided to prioritise some of the stories to work on here are the first five I will work on:

6)The Little Book of Festive Poetry

2)What Can I See Under the Sea

29)It’s Raining

17)Chee Chee Chii

3)The Dragon – Compost Heap

I have chosen these five fore different reasons – the first is a seasonal one that I want to get done for Christmas as I think it would be nice to send out as a presant. The others I have chosen becuase they are in the right sort of age catagory for my little girl and are relatively simple to sort out (I hope).

Ideas

November 2nd, 2009

When I first came across the idea of PiBoIdMo I was just going to draw a sketch a day to try and get some of the existing stories I’ve written illustrated but then the idea took hold and I have decided to write down and work on a batch of ideas this month.

It’s an idea a day so that makes 30 ideas – now my ideas definatly start of small as no more that a title or concept normally and then expand from there. So the first few days of this challenge will probably be me just listing titles and concepts – I then hope to spend the rest of the month fleshing them out somewhat.

Ok so here goes:

1)Wiggliest Tickliest Liquorish

2)What Can I See Under the Sea

3)The Dragon – Compost Heap

4)Horace the House Dragon

5)Hetty Peglar’s Skeleton Dance

6)The Little Book of Festive Poetry

7)The Girl With Long Pockets
