Pi Day
Today is approximation pi day – or is if you use the American style calendar anyway! I drew this picture a couple of years ago but it is still one of my favourites so I thought I would share it with you!
For those who don’t know pi is a number and it just goes on and on and on. It is a lovely number and is essential to geometry and therefor to how our buildings and things get built!
I am planning on creating a pi-poem on the history of maths which I will illustrate. A pi-poem or piem is a poem that takes each digit of pi as the number of words allowed for that line. And because pi goes on and on so can the poem. I am currently researching it so if anyone has maths history trivia throw it my way please 🙂
