Ok so I managed to get another two drafted:
The Dragon In The Cricket Club is a Horace the House Dragon story much to my little girls delight.
I also got Alien’s Galatic Curcuit written 🙂 This is a tail of a space race around obsticals such as asteroids, and using gravity to sling shot you on to the next bit. Alien has to choose winning over a friends need – what will it choose!
Well it’s a kids book so it’s sort of obvious what will get chosen! But you know what I mean 🙂
So that makes 6 picture book first drafts for 12×12 in 2012 🙂 That puts me ahead of the game but I have a very busy summer coming up – booked out at festivals for nearly every weekend!
I managed to get Sea Athletics written and I have planned out The Robot Marathon which turns out to actually about maths and brain power.
I think I’m going to count these as part of my 12×12 in 2012 which means I now have 4 stories drafted – I might even catch up with myself by the end of the month!
Not only did I have a show case for my ‘normal’ poetry (if I say adult it sounds dodgy!) but I also ended filling in for a missing poet with my childrens poetry in Waterstones. I have already read my children’s poetry in the Cheltenham Waterstones and ended up on the radio and in the local newspaper with it – as part of a publicity thing the week before the festival began. Then I had my two childrens workshops as well.

Well it is the end of NaPiBoWriWee and I only have one story written a story about pets doing their best though they are all rescue animals of some sort so have to find interesting ways around how to do the sports.
I’m happy that I got one done but feel I just didn’t really have the time or energy to put into it 🙁
Still I have the rest of the month to work on it!
Well it’s here! National Picture Book Writing week – the aim is to write 7 picture book drafts in 7 days and is pure madness! I have ten stories I want to write which is even more madness!
