Yesterday I managed to get The Difference Engine written and started work on the board book today but I think it is going to be quiet tricky fitting it all in this week looking at my to do list!
The rest of the month I am going to be using to work on my children’s books and illustrations in general so it shouldn’t be too bad even if I do not make the 7 books in 7 days.

1) The Difference Engine – for 9 – 11 year olds
2) Numberscape – for 11 – 13 year olds
3) The Little Book of Computer Poetry
4) Ada – board book for babies and toddlers
5) Lady Lovelace – for 5 – 8 year olds
6) The Little Book of Maths Poetry
7) The Little Book of Science Poetry
You may have noticed a few more Little Books of Poetry have crept in there!

So tomorrow is the start of National Picture Book Writing Week – a writing challenge started by Paula Yoo a few years ago. I have taken part in all but the first one.
It is an absolutely insane challenge – the first week of May you attempt to write 7 picture books.
This year my plan is to concentrate on producing the books that will go with my science puppet show Cuddly Science.

It was interesting as the wall is lumpy so the pencil didn’t go where I expected 😛
