NaPiBoWriWee – over for 2014

May 8th, 2014

I managed to get 5 out of the 7 books written which I think isn’t too bad :)

My aim for the rest of the month is to spend 30 hours at least, working on my children’s books and illustrations :)

For a start I want to finish off the The Little Book of Science Poetry and The Little Book of Maths Poetry, then I need to look at the illustrations I’ve been working on for my Cuddly Science Project at college and do more work on my Punk comic book series.

Lots of stuff to do!

Day 7 – NaP

May 7th, 2014

Well it’s day 7 and a Wednesday – like Tuesday’s these are quiet busy for me so as I still have Lady Lovelace to finish I am thinking I may not make the end of the challenge :( But I will keep going through out the month and see how far that takes me to completion 😀

Day 6 – NaP

May 6th, 2014

Yesterday was mostly about recovering from hectic bank holiday fun and allotment toil and going to improv workshops and the like. I did, however, manage to outline the remaining 3 books and get some of Lady Lovelace written.

Day 5 – NaP

May 5th, 2014

Spent the whole day down at the allotment yesterday and made my hands hurt too much too type or write but I did spent a lot of time thinking about Numberscape. I want this to be a fictional steam punk type story, not a comic book as such but what I think of as a graphic novel (which is slightly different to the actual definition of a graphic novel) – I think it should have full page fantasy art type illustrations and pencil diagramatics through out.

It will not be a text book and it will not be historically accurate etc… but it will contain real ideas and concepts.

Day 4 – NaP

May 4th, 2014

Free Comic Book Day was epic! And provided me with a couple of ideas in that maybe I should also have a comic book to add to my collection of Ada Lovelace / computing books. Something for a Script Frenzy maybe!

This weekends haul

Busy though it was I’ve almost caught up, so far we have:

1) The Difference Engine

2) Ada (board book)

3) The Little Book of Computing Poetry

They are all very rough though and will need a lot of work.

Day 3 – NaP

May 3rd, 2014

Yesterday I managed to do a bit of work in the Student Union at college whilst waiting for a friends talk, then sadly I went to her leaving do at the cider and beer festival and so did not managed to do anything else cough.

Today I have a work window of in the car whilst journeying to places as it is Free Comic Book Day and a food festival – so we shall see.
